Egyptians in the camp...

Greeting again in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus. He is the mighty King of Spiritual Israel and the Lion of Judah who offered his own body up that He might with it ransom us all from the employer of sin whose wages were death.

It is unto His death that we are baptised that we might inherit better things. And it is necessary that in His death we should put away the body of the old man and the lusts thereof, for flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

1Co 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1Co 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

When Moses led the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, that sin that had reigned over them pursued them to the shores of the Red Sea. But they were baptised that day in the midst of the sea, as the body of sin, the Egyptians, were put to death that day and burried beneath the water. From that point forward, those who's hearts were stayed upon the Lord would do no more service to sin. But not all of the Egyptians died in the sea...

Num 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Num 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

Num 14:2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
Num 14:3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Num 14:4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

You see, there were still Egyptians in the camp. Those whose hearts still served sin. They were of carnal nature and become like unto the essence of that which must be mortified and buried. They were Egyptians and Egypt was where they wanted to return. And for forty years God overthrew them in the wilderness and put off the flesh of sin from His camp.

But when the flesh of sin was put off, the camp was free of the weight of their sin and able by the power of the Spirit of the Lord to inherit the Kingdom of God.

Let not there be any Egyptians among you. Put off fully the things of Egypt, mortify the old man of sin, and let him not escape the death of the baptism. That thereby you may, like the Children of Israel before, inherit the Kingdom of God through the power of His Spirit.

God bless!
